A purple butterfly with flowers on it's wings.

In 2018, I experienced the unimaginable — the sudden loss of my son, Marcus. One day, as I was walking up the stairs, a wave of grief hit me so powerfully that I became physically paralyzed. I stood there, unable to move, crushed under the weight of sorrow. In that stillness, I had a realization: if I didn’t move, I wouldn’t survive. I had to move — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually — in order to live.

That moment became the turning point. It was the beginning of Release Grief.

Release Grief was born from my journey through trauma, created as a space for others to process deep loss, honor their grief, and find healing through movement and community. It is both a tribute to Marcus and a lifeline to those navigating the darkest moments of their lives.
